Chorus Roster
The roster of this semester's members is attached. Please do not share this information with anyone outside the Chorus or use it for anything other than Chorus-related business (e.g, finding rides to rehearsals, borrowing scores, etc.).

Any Tompkins Community Bank employees?
The chorus's parent organization, Affiliated Choruses of Ithaca, will be approaching TCB about potential sponsorship and feels that it might be helpful if they could share the names of any TCB employees who are involved with the chorus. If that's you, please let Kate know.

Kate's Corner
We were a smaller but intrepid crew at Kendal for rehearsal yesterday evening, bravely singing the seven seas with Gerald at the helm! Our music contains changing time signatures, triplets, and irregular intervals, all of which are challenging, but to me capture a restless sea quite well. Bill’s accompaniment is mesmerizing, evoking both the rhythms and tumult of a dynamic ocean.
I majored in chemical engineering in college, so I did not encounter Walt Whitman during my studies. I was curious to read more of his poetry, and thought I would share the following with all of you! See you at rehearsal next week, and remember to arrive early, if you can, for the new member reception.
To me every hour of the light and dark is a miracle, Every cubic inch of space is a miracle, Every square yard of the surface of the earth is spread with the same, Every foot of the interior swarms with the same.
To me the sea is a continual miracle, The fishes that swim—the rocks—the motion of the waves—the ships with men in them, What stranger miracles are there?
- from "Miracles," by Walt Whitman (1819-1892), published in Leaves of Grass (1856)
