Sugar (+4.19%) was the biggest riser among sectors with gains across the board. The weakest sector of the day was Pharmaceuticals (-0.74%). The highest volume was posted by Base Metals (-0.06%) with IRR 122 billion (approx. USD 2.9 million) of shares traded. Stocks making the biggest impact on the All-Share Index were led by Golgohar Mining & Industrial Co. (GOLG +0.87%), National Iranian Copper Industries Co. (MSMI -0.60%) and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (PKLJ -0.35%). The most traded stock by value was Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Co. (FOLD -0.18%), with volume of IRR 54 billion (approx. USD 1.3 million). The market’s total traded value dropped 17.3% from yesterday to IRR 1,093 billion (approx. USD 26 million).
TSE30 Index
The TSE30 index of the thirty largest companies by market capitalization also closed unchanged at 4,271. Kharg Petrochemical Co. (PKHA +1.22%) led gainers, while Tosee Melli Group Investment Co. (BANK -0.79%) saw the largest decline. The total traded value of the top 30s fell 11.8% to IRR 238 billion (approx. USD 5.6 million).
