UPCOMING HIGHLIGHTS...
Christina MartinThis Thursday (7th March), we welcome back powerhouse musician, songsmith, and performer hailing from the windswept East Coast of Canada, CHRISTINA MARTIN. Her music dances effortlessly through Pop, Rock, Folk and Americana traditions but stays deftly unchained by any one label, unafraid to venture into stranger waters. She is touring in support of her new album, 'Storm', a collection of lovingly crafted songs that address the human condition with raw honesty. Christina will be accompanied by co-producer and guitarist Dale Murray - this is an album, and a show, not to be missed!
 
QuimantuWe have 2 shows this week celebrating International Women's Day! On Friday (8th March), we celebrate women’s creativity in music and poetry with a homage from the renowned Anglo-Dutch-Chilean band QUIMANTU. The set list will include works from legendary female figures, among others the work of Chabuca Granda (Peru), Gabriela Mistral (Chile), Maria Elena Walsh (Argentina), Violeta Parra (Chile), Carole King (USA), Amparo Ochoa (Mexico), Alfonsina Storni (Argentina), Cecilia Todd (Venezuela). Quimantu’s unique perspective will be enhanced by the work of contemporary Latinas writing in the UK today, including our special guests - amazing Latin American literary women's collective, LAS JUANAS. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the warm and inclusive vibe of Quimantu’s Voces Festival in the intimate surroundings of Green Note.
Louise JordanAnd on Thursday (7th March), talented UK songstress LOUISE JORDAN will be talking and singing about some of history’s often overlooked pioneering women alongside anecdotes from her varied life on the road as a solo performer.
 
Howlin RicOther upcoming highlights include, rising star in the UK folk scene AARON HORLOCK (Sun 10th March) who you may have seen before as part of folk/rock band Man The Lifeboats; Green Note favourite BROOKS WILLIAMS (Tues 12th March) - a US artist with a “jaw-droppingly effortless” guitar style, a voice “like chocolate,” and a vast and varied repertoire of both original and interpreted songs, who for over three decades has created new music from the confluence of country, blues and folk; Rock'n'Roll band HOWLIN' RIC & THE ROCKETEERS (Sun 17th March) whose music was described by Vintage Rock as “wild rockers, dance floor fillers and dark blues … jaw-droopingly good”; klezmer trio OYSLAND (Sun 17th March); 
JT4tet + NazareneAnd the renowned JT4TET joined by talented vocalist NAZARENE, fresh off her captivating performances in ‘The Diana Ross Story’ as Mary Wilson, will be delivering an unforgettable blend of soul, jazz, funk, R&B, and more next Friday night (15th March).
