Dear Music Friends,
Hope everybody is feeling fine. Summer is almost over, as is my 65th happy birthday tour, which I celebrated this month of August with gigs in the Netherlands, Belgium and the US.
After just returning from the US, we're gearing up for September, which is also very swinging for me, as I head back to India for the 15th time, performing at some incredible festivals and venues:
With the SASKIA LAROO BAND ft Warren Byrd we're bringing our original Jazz, Funk, Hiphop to the Max to two international festivals:
- Sep 25 and 26 at the ZIRO festival and ZIRO Literary Festival: India's largest eco-friendly outdoor festival
- Sep 29 at Delhi's JAZZWEEKENDER festival, where you can check the hottest new jazz acts from under a Banyan tree
Plus, we're performing with JAZZKIA, my pure jazz quartet:
- Oct 3 at the IIC, Delhi's prestigeous concert hall for members and visitors.
Our tour kicks off with a special concert with the SASKIA LAROO BAND for World Peace Day:

- Dutch musician Saskia Laroo, sometimes called the “Lady Miles Davis,” is known for her virtuoso trumpet-playing and musical styling blending jazz, soul, blues, and electronic dance music. Saskia is that rare artist who is not only innovative but accessible.
- Pianist/Vocalist/Composer Warren Byrd is a Hartford, Connecticut native with an international touring schedule after years of work throughout Southern New England and New York. He is known for his exeptional piano and vocal skills and unique improvisation style.
