REBELLION AMSTERDAM is squeezing everything that's great about Blackpool (the bands and the diversity - not the stag dos!) into a One Day festival at the Melkweg in Amsterdam on Saturday 22nd March 2014.
 
Rather than just importing a bunch of UK bands, this time the festival see's bands from all over Europe including Holland, Germany, Czech, Belgium, France, Italy and Poland joining UK Punk legends such as THE DAMNED, COCK SPARRER, 999 etc.
 
As usual there's something for everyone with many genres of Punk catered for. If you like your Street Punk / Oi then there's COCK SPARRER, DISCIPLINE, GIMP FIST, GEOFFREY OiCOTT, LIONS LAW, MARTENS ARMY, SAINTS & SINNERS etc. Punk Rock is catered for with the likes of THE DAMNED, 999, GOLDBLADE, DEPARTMENT S, BRAINS ALL GONE, THE FUZZBRATS etc.... Want a thrashier edge? Check out FUNERAL DRESS or DISTURBANCE. Want something heavier - we've got KRAWALLBRUDER. Chuck in some punky reggae / dub with RUTS DC and some anarcho with Crass's STEVE IGNORANT and you can see there's a pretty healthy mix.
 
There's an acoustic stage too with artists such as LOUISE DISTRAS, TV SMITH (The Adverts), NICK CASH (999), ALEX MAIORANO, EFA SUPERTRAMP + a few more to still be booked....
 
So if you're looking for something to kick start your year then join the Rebellion Family in the square for a pint and the Melkweg for a dance!

FROM THE VENUE
 
On weekdays, the box office opens at 12.00 and during the weekend at 16.30.
The box office closes towards the end of the last event of that day, and at the latest at 3.00am. When there are no events scheduled on weekdays, the box office closes at 18.00. If there are no events scheduled during the weekend, the box office remains closed. The box office is located at the main entrance on the Lijnbaansgracht.

So it’s time to announce the first 9 bands that will be playing on the New Band Stage at Rebellion this year.

Only in its 3rd year the NBS has already become a fixture in most people's diaries for the weekend with many choosing to hang out here for the whole of Thursday catching some of the best new talent out there.

The NBS will still be on the Pavilion Stage which is perfectly intimate while allowing high energy performances and always keeping that special air of Rebellion Chaos.

We will be putting some more info up about the bands over the next few months but in the meantime, Google ‘em, You Tube ‘em do your homework and check them out! More importantly come see them live in August. You might just discover your new favourite band.

The NBS is never complete until the final minute and every band that plays always pulls out all the stops for their appearance on here. There is always something different and plenty of fun throughout the day.
