Sailing Into Summer

Opening Day on the Bay with its parade of tall ships announces the beginning of the sailing season.   Ships have been a part of San Francisco history from the very beginning.  After all, the quickest way to get to the California gold rush was by ship. Many of those ships are still here.  No wonder parking is so hard to find!

Join AJ, our Tour Diva, to learn about our Maritime History and the people who made it.  May’s Tour of the Month is Walking On Water.  A two hour exploration of the waterfront that expanded out from the original water line to form the current day Port Of San Francisco.

A portion of our profits from the tour of the month will be donated to the San Francisco Bike Coalition. Every year they produce Bike to Work Day this year it is on Thursday May 9th.  They offer free riding classes and community bike builds along with advocating for more and safer bike commute routes.

You can also make a donation directly to them here.
