Just a reminder
1717 and all that . . .
It all started in 1717, didn't it? If you believe what was written 20 years later by someone who wasn't there, you might think so - our present Grand Lodge did. Recent research in the last few years has turned up convincing documentary evidence of the time written by those who were present - but not in 1717! This blows a massive hole in what we all took for granted (anomalies and all) and causes us to re-evaluate those events, perhaps with some embarrassment.
Attendance is FREE! The symposium is open to masons, non-masons, ladies, wives, partners, friends (so regalia is not required); basically, anyone interested in this fascinating historic argument and its impact on current thinking.
Please register your intention to join us by e-mail to 1717@quatuorcoronati.com

UGLE Data Protection Request
Before Christmas UGLE sent out an email to 72,000 Freemasons who, as a result of joining a Lodge or Chapter prior to 2005 and having subsequently never joined another, have not signed any form of Data Protection statement. More explicitly, they have not given consent for the data that UGLE holds on them to be used by the MCF or other Masonic charities. Click here to read the full story and see a copy of the email.

New Hedges play area receives funds boost from Tenby Freemasons
Pic. Gareth Davies Photography
The village of New Hedges is looking forward to the next phase of its play park project as it swings into 2018.

The community’s popular playground, at the rear of the village hall, had to be demolished last year because it was not cost-effective to repair.
The New Hedges Play Area Regeneration Project was launched to raise funds for new play equipment, and was able to quickly meet its target for the first phase of work.

Travelling gavel

WM Philip Hancock of Neyland Lodge claiming the traveling gavel of WM Ian Barnes at Old Priory Christmas lodge meeting.
The Travelling gavel currently resides in Neyland and the picture above shows the gavel being handed over to W.Bro. Phillip Hancock.  The rumour on the grapevine is that there will be a Turk invasion of Neyland on the 8th February so all Pembs. and Cardigan masons need to attend to stop the gavel making the trip to Llanelli.  For further details of how to obtain the gavel click here.
