Hi Everyone

From today, Wednesday 3rd June 2020, Balkan will be putting out one release every Wednesday for the next few months.

Some digital, some vinyl, some cassettes and even a couple of t-shirts.

In addition to this, the plan is to do away with the standard, recognised approach to running a label or a business. 100% of Bandcamp digital profits will go to the artists. No label cut, no comission. When you buy something from Bandcamp, it will go straight into that artist's account. In addition to this, no following the usual PR process, with premieres and long lead-in times etc. This is music, direct from the artists to you. Don't know if this will work in the long run, but this is about supporting the family of artists within Balkan and I Love Acid, and being transparent with music fans.

Each release will be available on Bandcamp. Most of them will also be available in other shops and streaming online, but please note: one single Bandcamp sale is worth over 500 Spotify streams. So please, stream if you want, but go to bandcamp if you can x

Coming up over the next few week are I Love Acid 12"s from Posthuman, Kerrie, and Chevron. As usual, they will be vinyl-only hand stamped & numbered editions of 303 copies on heavyweight wax. Also to come is a pink vinyl Hard Ton EP with a remix from True Pleasures (Josh Posthuman & Quinn Paranoid London). There are also digital EPs due from Global Goon, Altern 8, Nightwave, Tsuin, Boxia, and and album from Chevron, plsu many more. A combined t-shirt & EP from Hrdvsion, a cassette release from Echaskech. Every Wednesday, for the next few months, a new release will go online.

This all begins with Today's release: "High 1987" EP from Granary 12.

A 4 tracker of jacjing acid & house from the young Scottish duo of Steven Simpson (10 Pills Mate / Lobster Theremin) and Ewan McVicar (Trick / Ten) and a welcome return after their banger "MancMania" from the first Metro Jaxx 12".

The duo have said that they will donate their profits from this release to Coalition For Racial Equality & Rights Scotland - https://www.crer.scot
