Refirement Network :: September 2017

Dear Refirees,

One of the areas of our lives that should not come to an end as we age is personal development. We are gifted with an extra season and live in an age of technology where learning and growth is all around us.

This past Sunday we celebrated one of the Refirement Champions- African Food for Thought. These volunteers, together with a small team of paid workers feed more than 17 000 children daily and engage monthly with face to face visits of 135 orphan headed households. The inter-generational learning and joy cannot be measured in monetary terms. I am sure that a personal conversation with any of these volunteers or the children will bring many stories of growth from both sides.

Personal development has many facets. Do you have a list of what you would like to do? I find that when I step out of my comfort zone and do something new, that I am energised and encouraged to do more. I hope that this newsletter will encourage you to share and stretch yourself. The world is open and ready. We just need to say YES.

Have a fabulous month.

I am currently running a survey to try and understand my market more effectively and especially around the building of the skills bank. If you have not yet filled in the survey I would appreciate your time. It will take you less than 2 minutes to complete.

Once I have studied the results I will be writing an article about the thinking of those that engaged and will share.

Here is the link to the survey.
