Greetings!
My work in stress management is thriving these days. I was interviewed for a story on “Breathing,” and it is printed online:
National Public Radio June 29th . The stress consult service at Duke Hospital continues to be very popular. Our weekly meditations in the Chapel are well attended. If you are ever a patient or visiting you can come to the Chapel on the 6th floor 3pm Thursdays.

I recently returned from visiting Ram Dass and doing a Sacred Tour of Maui program with him. It was fantastic.
Check out more about RD’s events. Ram Dass is doing very very well, all things considered. See a picture at the bottom with Ram Dass and friends taking a dip in the ocean. He is very much in touch with his soul, and more and more he sees us all as souls! In April he quietly celebrated his 78th birthday.

In this newsletter you can learn about a wonderful group of
people helping Ram Dass health and home needs. Please consider joining!

I will share about a program with Sharon Salzberg and a chanting program. You can check out my great stress management products and chanting CDs.

A Letter from the Love Serve Remember Foundation
A Nonprofit Foundation Supporting the Teachings of Ram Dass and Neem karoli Baba
23852 PCH # 762 Malibu, Ca 90265
LSR@ramdass.org

Dear Friends,

Ram Dass

Ram Dass is still here now, bridging oceans and generations with his wisdom. Maharaji once said, “You can plan for 500 years but you don’t know what will happen the next moment.” That was true when Ram Dass had a major stroke a decade ago and it remains so today! A group of us close to Ram Dass are coordinating efforts to support his teachings and make them more available to the public. Now we need your support, too.

We have put together a new foundation called Love Serve Remember. It will disseminate the spiritual teachings of Neem Karoli Baba and Ram Dass. It will support Ram Dass’ current online teaching (at www.ramdass.org) and archive and digitize his lectures and writings so they will be more widely available. LSR also sponsors residential Ram Dass retreats in Hawaii, satsang gatherings, webcasts, and online dialogs with other teachers to keep the spiritual channel open to Ram Dass. For more information on the foundation, click here.

Most important, Love Serve Remember will create a supportive and sustainable environment for Ram Dass to write and teach in ways appropriate to his time of life. Although his health no longer permits him to travel and lecture, Ram Dass still has the unique ability to bring his yoga of the heart to issues of aging, death, and joyful acceptance of life as it is. Now we want to enable him to do what he does best -- teaching with individuals or small groups in person in a quiet setting and online. This is the kind of teaching that we all have come to appreciate. The bottom line (as it were) is that to do it we need your help.

As you probably know, Ram Dass is living in Hawaii in a house bought by a friend who has said that Ram Dass can stay there as long as he lives. LSR Foundation pays rent to cover part of the monthly mortgage. Lifts have been installed to make the new house accessible. It also holds an office for LSR, which organizes his retreats with Krishna Das and others, satsang gatherings, and his online webcasts. We have created a comfortable guest space next to the house, where Ram Dass will supervise individual retreats that we hope will help cover part of the substantial rent. Seekers from around the world can visit Ram Dass and enjoy the extraordinary peace and tranquility of Maui.

Increasingly, most of Ram Dass’s teaching will be through the website, expanding the heart of cyberspace. Eventually, contributions through the site will make Ram Dass’s public teaching self-sustaining. (Please visit www.ramdass.org and enjoy its wealth of content.) We also hope to motivate thousands of friends and devotees on My Space and Facebook, Obama-style, to join the online satsang. But until that stream is flowing, we need your help ….

Hanuman, the monkey god, is the perfect embodiment of service and love as he jumps across the ocean of samsara. Please be part of this great Hanuman moment—take the leap!

If you would like to see how I managed stress when I was in nursing school; see a YouTube video about a rap song I wrote and sung. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUhD55eoa5M

"This rap was recorded in 1987 by University of North Carolina nursing students. After listening to Run-D.M.C Jon Seskevich made up this hip hop tune about his classmates and experiences while walking to his psychiatric nursing clinical rotation in Chapel Hill, NC. This video was shot later in the semester for the school's video yearbook. Jon is now a nurse clinician specializing in Stress Management at Duke Hospital."

My website ManageStressNow.com has wonderful material to help cut down on the wear and tear on people that has come with all the changes in the economy and life this past year. Also some great research and I’ve been involved in is featured on the website.
