 People of the Project: Everyday Faith
Disciples
of Jesus are called to be people of the project. This calling is not
based on our own merit but on an everyday faith of loving obedience.
Loved and accepted just as we are, we are invited to partner with God
through everyday faith by bringing God’s kingdom of goodness to our
world by doing justice, loving kindness, and walking humbly with God.
“He has shown you, O people, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God.”
We
are thankful for those involved in creating this curriculum. People of
the Project: Everyday Faith was written by Janna and Terrell Wiebe, with collaboration from Isaac Kuhl-Schlegel, Cheryl Braun, Heather Goertzen, and Nadya Langelotz.

We're Hiring: Head Cook Team for Fall 2026
As Camps with Meaning continues to welcome guest groups into all seasons, we are excited to begin hiring for a new Head Cook team at Camp Assiniboia starting this September.
We are looking for two individuals who will share responsibility for leading the day-to-day shifts of our kitchen operations—serving as the key people who ensure our guests are well-fed, well cared for, and warmly welcomed.
This role is about more than cooking. It is about:
- Creating spaces of hospitality and community around the table
- Leading and mentoring kitchen staff and volunteers
- Helping each guest group experience the care and intention that defines our ministry
The Head Cook team will work closely with our Food Services Coordinator to ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and with excellence.
We are especially looking for individuals who bring:
- A heart for service and teamwork
- Confidence in managing kitchen and foodservice operations
- Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Light the Fire
The Light the Fire Capital Campaign Committee is thankful for the continued financial support of our community as we continue to look forward to much needed renovations at both Camp Assiniboia and Camp Koinonia.
We are excited to be moving ahead with the design and planning process for the renovations to Camp Assiniboia Lodge Kitchen and Bathrooms, and physical updates are already underway at Camp Koinonia to Coyote Cave, along with exterior entrances of the Hexagonal Cabins.
 We are so grateful for the response to our fundraising event on April 19. We were at our 400 person capacity. Comedian Matt Falk was our featured performer, and (former) camp musicians Ava Campbell-Enns/Will Harder, and Kim Thiessen/Darryl Neustaedter Barg opened the event with music.
Donations exceeded $65,000 in that week, which was matched by a few generous donors. Thank you for all the contributions.
