Beads Up North Craft Fair – THIS Sunday 20th Sept – 10am to 4pm
At Haydock Racecourse WA12 0HQ – between Manchester and Liverpool. Just off M6 J26. The largest gathering of beaders in the UK. From 10am to 4pm. Many bead & craft exhibitors and full refreshments in two halls. A bumper show, not to be missed! For Full Details Click: BeadsUpNorth.co.uk.

Last Beads Up North
After 20-years at Haydock this will be the last. Increasing costs, lack of exhibitor interest and diminishing takings, has forced us to shut down. Also, it will free up time for the extra Government red tape! Plus Gordon, who started the show and organises the workshop, is now too old to attend himself. Every ticket enters the free prize draw – with a change of winning gifts from each participating exhibitor.

So don’t miss the last show!

Swindon Bead Fair – Saturday 3rd October, 11am to 4pm.

London Luton Bead Fair – Sunday 4th October, 11am to 4pm
10-minutes walk from City Centre. Half-hours drive from London, and 5-minutes from M1 exit 10 – down London Rd, into Castle St. Follow Town Centre local traffic signs from motorway. Many visitors from London say it’s faster to see us here, than when we’re actually in London! Limited parking at the hotel, but there is a carpark just 2-minutes walk away: South Road Car Park LU1 3AL. For full details click here. Free entry & refreshments!

Rainflower Viewing Stone Beads

Oriental viewing stone is rock carved to look like a mountain or scenic landscape – to conceive a feeling of being at the place. Rainflower viewing stone beads are popular because they create a harmonious feeling and every one looks different. Rainflower is stone formed along the banks of China’s Yangtze River over millions of years. Jade, chalcedony, jasper and minerals in the rock create colours and patterns, looking like flowers in the rain with rich glittering colours. Rainflower viewing stone is said to bring harmony, and is helpful to romantic relationships. Balancing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual planes.

Bead Fair Reports

Essex Bead Fair – Marks Tey
This was a bumper, real busy show – from start to finish. Many big buyers from East London. Nice to see regulars too. Maybe next year Simon from Totally Beads will organise two here. A very easy and successful show!

New Forest Bead Fair
This was our best New Forest show ever! Bead fairs are booming (at least some)! Very busy with good sales throughout. We’ll be back in the New Forest in the spring.

Bead shows are great fun. You’ll love them! Bring a trolley, as beads get heavy. Take some cash, as a few venues have a weak signal for card payments. Talk to the vendors and other visitors to inspire new design ideas. Make a note of what you paid for beads, and keep exhibitors’ business cards and leaflets.
