Even though that the next edition of ‘LiftBalkans’ will be held in 2016, Via Expo is pleased to keep you informed about some news in the vertical transport sector.
As the only one business event in this field in Bulgaria, it provides an opportunity for direct meetings between importers and producers with potential customers and partners from Bulgaria and the neighboring countries. ‘LiftBalkans’ 2014 has successfully ended, attracting developers, investors, engineers, facility managers, architects, technicians, managers and representatives of the state administration.

Leading companies from Bulgaria, Greece, Belarus and Italy took part in the Exhibition. They presented elevators, escalators and moving walks, monitoring and safety systems, communication systems, components, control systems and signalization, door systems, cabins, decoration materials, etc.

Cab Aesthetics and Design – a special edition of Elevator Word

Few areas within a building are as highly visible, highly trafficked, and subject to the resultant scrutiny and abuse as an elevator interior. As a destination through which almost every visitor must pass, no other part of a building entertains such a captive audience, or has the opportunity to communicate so much.
The elevator interior creates an immediate first impression and shapes a visitor’s overall experience within a space. There have not to exist a conflict between the function and design of the cab. The cab aesthetic depends on the materials, finishes, lighting, etc. Architects and designers can bring limitless design concepts to the elevator fixture while improving functionality trough the using vibrant, easy to read, color touch screens.

Turkish Elevator Industry Report for the 2nd period of 2013 is released
Republic of Turkey Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Directorate General for Industry has released Turkish Elevator Industry Report for the 2nd period of 2013.  
In the report, the developments and the statistics were stated in the sector in 2012 and 2013 and then the current analyses were given. In the report the following data for the elevator industry were shared; Turkish Elevator Industry should be considered directly parallel to the urbanization and the consequent development of the construction industry. In the coming period, considering growth of the urbanization process in Turkey to be continued it is inevitable the parallel growth in the elevator industry to be continued. In addition, the Turkish investments in the Middle East, in the Balkans and recently in African countries have influenced the Elevator Industry positively.
The compliance of Turkish National legislation with EU technical legislation, due to Customs Union, and under the “Free Movement of Goods Policy” concept, the sector's exports increased their chances positively. This increase was not limited to only the EU member countries, hence all over the world the demand for Turkish products and trust has been revealed. With the inclusion of EU technical legislation into the Turkish legislation and with the adoption of international standards as “Turkish Standards” EN 81 family of Harmonized standards has been considered as Turkish Standards.
- In 2012, 101 thousand 254 elevators’ annual control was conducted
- Investing in African countries has accelerated
- 22 thousand 522 people were employed in the sector
- A large part of our exports were done to EU and Middle East Countries
- China ranked first in imports
- In 2013 the sector recorded an increase in the exports
