Cab Aesthetics and Design – a special edition of Elevator Word

Few areas within a building are as highly visible, highly trafficked, and subject to the resultant scrutiny and abuse as an elevator interior. As a destination through which almost every visitor must pass, no other part of a building entertains such a captive audience, or has the opportunity to communicate so much.
The elevator interior creates an immediate first impression and shapes a visitor’s overall experience within a space. There have not to exist a conflict between the function and design of the cab. The cab aesthetic depends on the materials, finishes, lighting, etc. Architects and designers can bring limitless design concepts to the elevator fixture while improving functionality trough the using vibrant, easy to read, color touch screens.

Most companies in the elevator industry have already increased the recyclable product with minimum environmental impact in the production in their systems. Read more at: http://www.elevatorworld.com/pdf/CabAesthetics.pdf.

In the report, the developments and the statistics were stated in the sector in 2012 and 2013 and then the current analyses were given. In the report the following data for the elevator industry were shared; Turkish Elevator Industry should be considered directly parallel to the urbanization and the consequent development of the construction industry. In the coming period, considering growth of the urbanization process in Turkey to be continued it is inevitable the parallel growth in the elevator industry to be continued. In addition, the Turkish investments in the Middle East, in the Balkans and recently in African countries have influenced the Elevator Industry positively.
The compliance of Turkish National legislation with EU technical legislation, due to Customs Union, and under the “Free Movement of Goods Policy” concept, the sector's exports increased their chances positively. This increase was not limited to only the EU member countries, hence all over the world the demand for Turkish products and trust has been revealed. With the inclusion of EU technical legislation into the Turkish legislation and with the adoption of international standards as “Turkish Standards” EN 81 family of Harmonized standards has been considered as Turkish Standards.
