First off, we would like to thank all of those that attended the mandatory skill evaluations for the competitive divisions. We appreciate you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules to assist in our process of making our divisions as equal and competitive as possible. We had a great turnout and the new evaluation stations worked out very well and really helped in our process of forming teams. Thank you to all of our coaches who helped out we really appreciate you!!
Listed below are reminders of some important upcoming dates and information.
If you haven’t done so already, please review the attached welcome letter, which lists all of the pertinent dates and information on the upcoming season. Most if not all answers to your questions in regards to dates and information pertaining to the league is listed within both pages of the welcome letter.

We will not have games on 12/21 due to gym closures for the holiday. Please add this date to your schedules. It will not effect your 10 game season and the season will still end on February 29th.

WINTER SEASON REMINDERS AND UPDATES:
CO-ED DIVISIONS:
ALL DIVISIONS PRE-K THROUGH 8TH GRADE ARE CO-ED. PLAYERS WILL BE PLACED ACCORDINGLY BY SKILL LEVEL FOR THE COMPETITIVE DIVISIONS.
NON-COMP DIVISIONS:
The Non-Comp Division is a combined division with Pre-K through 2nd grade all on the same team. This division is controlled with coaches and referees on the floor but players will play in an actual game. At this level we emphasize the basic fundamentals i.e. shooting, dribbling, and defense.

- Players registered after the registration deadline may not be contacted until week of December 2nd.
When contacted by your coach, please be sure to write down and save your coach’s name and phone number. This will help when checking the website for your child’s game schedule as it will be listed under the coach’s last name. Also, ask about practice (i.e. when, where and what time to meet). Please keep in mind practice and game locations can be anywhere within the EG Unified School District boundaries for Elk Grove. Practices are not determined by where you reside or where your player attends school. Practice times can be any day Monday - Friday with start times anywhere from 6pm-8pm for all ages pre-k through High School.
All players should be prepared to practice the week of December 2nd
CYBL'S SEASON & PRACTICE INFO:
CYBL'S 10 GAME SEASON:
The season will include 8 regular season games, along with (1) playoffs and (1)championship/consolation game for all competitive divisions. Non-Competitive divisions will include 10 regular season games. Please review the full game schedule once posted.
PRACTICE:
Week practice begins:
December 2nd(week of)
Practices are held at all schools within the Elk Grove Unified School District. For specific locations, you can view the District website and review the list of all schools available within the District which include but are not limited to the Elk Grove and South Sacramento area. The exact day, time and location will be determined and you will be notified by your coach when contacted. Practices are not selected by location as to where your home or child’s school is based please prepare to travel within the area for one night a week to practice. Practices can be cancelled at the last minute by the school district due to school events. We will try our best to reschedule your team for another day, but we cannot guarantee it. Schools will be closed for holidays throughout the season. Alternate practice days will NOT be given for those days schools are closed due to holidays. Further information in regards to practices can be found on page 2 of the attached welcome letter.

If you are a returning player and/or did NOT order a CYBL uniform, you do NOT need to attend the handout
If you cannot attend the scheduled uniform pick up for your area, you can pick up your players uniform at either location.

If uniforms are not picked up during the scheduled pick up time & date, it is parents' responsibility to make arrangements for pick up.
Uniforms will no longer be sent to gym sites aside from pick up locations. Pick up location may be out of your local home area.
All CYBL players MUST have a full CYBL uniform.

**Parents, please note reviewing the schedule is your responsibility. DOCUMENTATION NEEDED:
**CYBL requires every player to provide a copy of their birth certificate and for players registering for 1st/2nd grade competitive through High School we will also require a copy of their latest report card. The report card should list the players name, current school year as well as confirmation of the player's current grade level. If you are a new player with CYBL, please submit the necessary documents ASAP to the CYBL office via email, fax or USPS mail. If you have participated with CYBL before, but it has been at least 1 full school year since a report card has been provided, please be sure to provide us with the most up to date report card ASAP. If hard copies are on file with CYBL you DO NOT need to re-submit.
