Azaelias are my favorite... and the Aroma!
Pictures tell the story. Early spring is perhaps the most beautiful time of year here on The Farm. Dogwoods are in bloom everywhere!
It is so interesting to watch No Kings rallies reach small town America. I was pleased to participate in our small gathering in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Also in this issue: A new generation of Farm Midwives steps forward! Our member Elizabeth Barger, who just turned 90, is a true inspiration.
Namaste,

Local No Kings Rallys

A small group of us gather on the town square, a first in Lawrenceburg, about 15 miles down the road.
Being together in a circle made this a very bonding experience.
Being together in a circle made this a very bonding experience.

I led the group in singing songs of resistance, freedom, and justice, from old movement songs of the civil rights era, to new compositions addressing peace inthe Middle East.

Many of our community members joined the rally in Columbia, about 30 miles away.
Instead of a central rally, small groups of people were positioned on various street corners.
The New Farm Midwives!

This group of women are working together to carry forward the legacy of The Farm Midwives.
Left to right: Serena Kachinsky is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)and a Registered Nurse. For the last several years she has worked in the ER of a local hospital.
Corina Fitch grew up on The Farm, and then her family moved to South Florida after The Changeover. She was a practicing midwife (CPM) and RN in Miami for 20 years before moving back top Tennessee 6 years ago.
Laura Holzapfel is on track to take the test for her CPM license very soon. In the meantime, she is a Charge Nurse at a local hospital.
Leah Thomas (my daughter) has received midwifery training and is licensed in Neonatal Resuscitation. She serves as the team's midwifery assistant, doula, and office manager.
We are so proud of them!
Queen for a Day!

For as long as I have known her, Elizabeth Barger has been and is one of the most politically active people you will ever meet. She was in front of the White House when Code Pink was formed. She helped establish one of our area's first Women's Shelter. A couple of hundred of us were on hand to celebrate her 90th birthdayat Twisted Copper, a microwbrewery with two locations run by several young men from the community!

A great year for the dogwoods!

A morning visitor strolls through my yard. You don't usually see possoms in the daylight.

This is our 7th dance weekend here on The Farm and our largest attendance yet! Click here to learn more.
In these challenging times, our dances are embodied prayers that polish the heart.
