Alum-backed Radical Coffee Project making world a better place, one pound of coffee at a time 

A group of Spartan Global Development Fund alumni including Morgan Burns (BA Accounting '18), Scott Lyman (BA Finance and Social Relations & Policy '18), and Kathryn Smith (BA Finance '18) founded the non-profit to help Guatemalan coffee farmers work around intermediaries and gain access to fair prices for their labors.

Alum using business skills to make football safer 

Ryan Sullivan (BA Finance '06) is CEO of Xenith, the leader in football helmet technology. The Detroit-based company's helmets use enhanced shock arrangements to take a range of hits on the field while mitigating player risk. "It's tremendously rewarding to work in a business and with people who are seeking to make a difference," he said.

Aishat Akinwale (BA Accounting '15, Honors College '15, MS Accounting '16) traveled from her native Africa to America to learn accounting and then to Europe to apply it professionally.

New trustees share their hopes, priorities

Brianna Scott, Kelly Tebay and Nancy Schlichting say they are committed to ensuring that Michigan State's leadership makes wise decisions, and finds the right person to be the university's next president. "There are so many amazing people on campus, and alumni all over the world, who are committed to changing our culture and offering to be part of solutions," Tebay said. "We should utilize their expertise and welcome them into this process.”
