Refirement Network :: July 2018

Dear Refirement members,

This is a milestone newsletter for me. I started doing this work more than 10 years ago around the time I turned 50. I was at a crossroads and planning for my next season. I studied at GIBS in 2009, doing a social entrepreneurship diploma. The year culminated in this business, Refirement Network becoming a reality. One of my goals, was to build a Skills Bank, with a vision for this asset to be a community of like-minded, skilled South Africans over 50 who want to work, serve and learn. The Skills Bank became a reality this month with the launch of a new website and platform called 50Plus-Skills.

The lesson to other entrepreneurs out there is to not give up and to continue to persevere and find a way to make your dream a reality. I want to invite you to join me and become part of this vision. Go to and register as a member. There is a cost of R500 per annum. Part of your benefit as a member is the opportunity to attend a FREE half day workshop on life planning for your next season.

I look forward to welcoming you to the community
