Two Time Grammy-Winners Old Crow Medicine Show Earn Best Folk Album Nomination For Critically Acclaimed Jubilee

Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration At The Ryman On December 30-31

November 10, 2023 – Today, two-time GRAMMY award-winning band Old Crow Medicine Show was nominated for Best Folk Album for the critically acclaimed Jubilee that was released earlier this year via ATO Records. The nomination is the band’s third overall and arrives as the group celebrates their 25-year anniversary. Old Crow Medicine Show will cap off a banner year with their annual New Year’s Eve run at the Ryman on December 30 and 31. Find a full list of tour dates below or visit their website

“Holy cow! Thanks to everyone who voted to nominate Jubilee for Folk record of the year,” says Ketch Secor. “I’m so proud of this 25th anniversary album, which draws from the deep well of folk music traditions. We knew we were putting together a special one for this milestone. America’s folk music is the richest around the globe because of all of the pioneering voices in the choir. Our band is grateful to all those amazing folk artists who paved the way for us. Thank you, Recording Academy!”

The follow-up to Old Crow’s acclaimed 2022 release Paint This Town, Jubilee was co-produced with Matt Ross-Spang and features special guests including Mavis Staples, Sierra Ferrell, and Willie Watson, who recorded with the band for the first time in over 10 years on their single “Miles Away” (watch their recent performance here). That single spent 9 weeks in the Top 10 at Americana Radio during an 18 week chart run. The album has garnered widespread acclaim including Consequence, SPIN, BrooklynVegan, American Songwriter, No Depression and more. Secor recently spoke with NPR’s Here & Now about the album and shared more insight into the band’s activism. Earlier this year, the group released a powerful protest anthem called “Louder Than Guns,” and Secor penned a compelling guest essay for The New York Times
