Saskia Laroo returns to the legendary jazz club Casablanca on the Zeedijk during the 13th edition of Red Light Jazz. As a proud ambassador of Red Light Jazz, Saskia is especially happy to perform again at this iconic venue, where she also played during the very first edition of the festival in 2014.
Often called “Lady Miles Davis” because of her energetic and adventurous approach to jazz, Saskia brings her own mix of jazz, funk, hip hop, dance grooves and improvisation. This concert also celebrates Miles Davis’ 100th birthday.

Back from their musical travels in the Netherlands, Duo Laroo/Byrd return to Holland Tunnel Revisited Gallery in Newburgh, NY, hosted by artist and gallery founder Paulien Lethen.
Due to the great response to their previous performance, Saskia Laroo and Warren Byrd will once again be joined by the wonderful Hearn Gadbois for an inspired evening of jazz, grooves, improvisation and musical adventure.
The original Holland Tunnel Gallery started in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 1997. Today, its inspiring Newburgh location continues to bring together art, music and community.

Amsterdam-born trumpeter, saxophonist, vocalist, composer and bandleader Saskia Laroo has performed across the globe with her own bands and as a special guest artist. Her music crosses borders between jazz, funk, dance, world music, pop, hip hop and improvisation.
With projects such as The Saskia Laroo Band, Duo Laroo/Byrd, Jazzkia and many international collaborations, Saskia has brought her energetic and genre-crossing sound to audiences worldwide.
