SSWAC is pleased to announce that we will shortly be getting back to running activities back on the water.
We have had our initial risk assessment approved at a regional level and are now in the process of planning what activities we believe we can undertake in line with current risk assessments and Scout Guidelines.
Further information will follow as we will seek to deliver an enriched, but likely reduced programme of activities in the coming weeks and months.
We have had a number of enquiries with regards to groups using our equipment and facilities.
We are now in a position to make both available for groups to utilise. The process will be that an initial request for a booking will need to be made via our normal channels.
Once your provisional booking is accepted you will be required to provide SSWAC with an activity specific risk assessment relating to Canoeing and/or Kayaking authorised by your relevant commissioner. This will need to be supplied to SSWAC prior to your booking being confirmed.
At this time, we are not in position to provide the required materials to ensure the cleanliness of the changing rooms, toilets and equipment. This will therefore need to be included in the risk assessment and supplied by the hiring group.
We will strive to change this position when we are able to but there is likely to be a supplementary fee included in the hire costs to cover us supplying these items.
We are excited to get activities running again shortly and look forward to seeing you out on the water soon.
