Share our free Women's World Cup resource with friends in other schools
You may have already seen our new Women's World Cup 2015 teaching resource, which was recently published on the GLP website. Using women's football as a lens, pupils will learn about women's rights, poverty and inequality while developing their maths and geography understanding and skills. If you haven’t yet had a chance to do so, download the resource by logging in to your GLP account and selecting 'Activities and resources' from the My GLP area. We’d also encourage you to share this link to the resource with friends and colleagues who teach maths or geography in other schools.
Win a FairTrade chocolate lover’s gift
To help us ensure that we’re providing the GLP information and materials in the best possible way, please could we ask you to spend a couple of minutes answering a few questions about the GLP website in our online survey? All completed entries will be included in a prize draw where three lucky people will win a FairTrade chocolate lover's gift.
Get ready for the next GLP Lead Practitioner accreditation gateway
Congratulations to those of you who submitted your GLP Lead Practitioner accreditation applications earlier this month. You can now choose to fund the GLP Lead Practitioner Accreditation using your school’s e-credits. Lead Practitioner Accreditation demonstrates long-lasting evidence of the impact you have had through the GLP on a personal and professional level. The next gateway deadline is in November 2015, so there’s plenty of time to start building your application. You can find out more about this and all GLP-approved CPD courses by visiting the CPD calendar. If you have any questions about the process, please contact GLPaccreditation@ssatuk.co.uk.
A few reminders...
Please could you carry out the following, essential GLP activities to ensure that your school receives the maximum benefit from your time on the programme.
- Complete the GLP Whole School Audit as soon as possible to enable access to your School Action Plan and e-credit funding for CPD.
- Book onto GLP-approved CPD courses – you may want to consider attending CPD with your network as a cluster rather than individually. Your Expert Centre Coordinator can discuss the options with you and the other schools in your network.
- Use the new Pupil Assessment Tool to help identify priorities for teaching and impacts of learning on pupils.
