Quote of the Week

By taking the time to stop and appreciate who you are and what you've achieved - and perhaps learned through a few mistakes, stumbles and losses - you actually can enhance everything about you. Self-acknowledgment and appreciation are what give you the insights and awareness to move forward toward higher goals and accomplishments.

President's Corner

Last week I started to give you some suggestions to share with you over the next few weeks on how you can structure your business so you’re focused on your niche oriented specialized work in the note business AND able to stay in a state of gratitude because your note business is just so darn cool nothing could get you down.

My second suggestion on how to structure your business so you’re focused on your niche oriented specialized work AND able to stay in a state of gratitude is to Make Sure You’re Happy With Your Brand and Your Message.

Nobody likes to feel trapped and if you’re walking around in a brand you’ve outgrown, then that will zap your energy, gratitude and happiness quotient. Maybe you want to rebrand or simply refresh your message, whatever you decide it’s crucial that you’re beaming hot happy about the public image you convey and the emotional imprint you leave on your market.

I hope these ideas are giving you some insight and making you think a bit more about your note business in a way you may have not thought about it before. Next week I will give you another suggestion on ways to consider incorporating gratitude into your note business.   Remember, Success Demands Action! Keep on marketing, it’s going to work! TWITA!

Balancing the Note Business and Life

I’m going to go our on a limb and start this article by saying that there’s no such thing as work-life balance. There are work-life choices, and you make them, and they have consequences. Sounds shocking to the naked ear, doesn’t it? That’s because it goes against everything we as Americans have been taught to believe. The concept of balance in life is the Holy Grail of the modern world... Read More...

Question of the Week

Q - Hi Jeff,

I know, generally, it takes 30-45 days for a note purchase to close. I'm curious, what's the longest it's ever taken?

                                                                ~ Lynn

Hi Lynn!

Thanks for the email! Good question. Well, the shortest transaction I ever did I purchased myself and was done in 5 business days, no joke. The longest transaction I did took 9 months, 38 weeks, and was for a cloud on the title. Recently we had one that took 17 weeks, a little over 4 months, due to a mix up with mobile home titles.  Sometimes there are just things that the seller doesn't know about, or that they do know about but choose not to tell us, and it takes awhile to clean it all up.

                                                                ~ Jeff
