B.I.T. released for Reason!

Yes, you can open your toolbox and attach the amazing  B.I.T. synthesizer into your Reason 19 inch Rack Unit!  This superb 16-voice virtual analog synthesizer comes with over 1250 top-notch presets and in February we are offering B.I.T.-RE with a 20% discount! Buy now in the ReasonShop.

If you already own B.I.T. as a VST, we can also offer you the RE version with a 50% discount. Just drop us a note at info@robpapen.com if you would like to own the RE version as well.

Listen to these short sound examples of B.I.T. here

B.I.T. stands for Back In Time…

Instead of combining the best of analog modeling with hybrid synthesis, which we can see with the other Rob Papen synthesizers, B.I.T. focuses on Analog Modelled Synthesis.
Why this move you might think? The idea behind it is that the classic analog type of synthesis has its own charm and simply has not yet been covered by the Rob Papen brand. So, no spectrum waveforms, or samples inside B.I.T. nope, it is pure ‘Analogue Modelled’ synthesis.

Although B.I.T. has no patch cables on its front panel, it is modular by all means! The Modulation Matrix is used for patching, however, also included are the smart ‘advanced’ panels inside the Oscillators. With these advanced features, you can quickly make several connections such as LFO and Envelope to the Oscillator parameters inside of B.I.T.

Also included is the option to modulate Oscillator 2 by Oscillator 1 in several ways which expands the sound pallet with Phase Modulation, Frequency Modulation, and Ring Modulation. A Rob Papen synthesizer would, of course, be incomplete without the arpeggiator (which can also work in sequencer mode), so a fully-featured Arp is available and has an additional free row that you can use to modulate other parts of B.I.T. by using the Modulation Matrix. And of course, flip the Reason rack around and B.I.T.- RE includes the usual CV / Gate Inputs and Outputs, and an audio input for the use of the Filters or/and FX!!

Finally, adding the finishing touch inside B.I.T. is, of course, the FX section. Some superb sounding FX are included. You will find our top-notch Reverb inside B.I.T.-RE which means you won’t have to go outboard for adding reverb. As previously mentioned B.I.T. stands for ‘Back In Time’ however it can also mean ‘Be Inspired Today’ whilst using our Analogue Modelled Synthesizer.
B.I.T. is shipped with over 1250 top-notch presets!

Vecto VST / AU / AAX

Vecto Reason Rack Extension

About Vecto:

Vecto is a four-oscillator vector synthesizer that allows users to draw in vector paths to shape the sound in many different ways. Included are a large range of oscillator waves, plus sampled waveforms and lots of different modulation options and preset vector paths to help create the unique Vecto sound!

Due to the interesting range of waveforms, from classic analog-modeled ones, Additive, Spectrum and high quality sampled waveforms, the sound options are dazzling deep! Two filters are added with 28 Filter types and 2 top-notch effect processors finish the audio route with a blister. A lot of interesting modulation options and creative features are added in Vecto, including an arpeggiator.

Compatibility VST/AU/AAX:
  • PC: 32 & 64 bits VST and 64 bits AAX for Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10
(Note: PC AAX for PT 12 or higher)

Punch-2

Punch-2, which was released at the very end of 2019 is already very popular with our user base and currently, we are working hard on making it fully compatible with the NI NKS system.
We are also busy adding a new play mode called ‘Audition Sequencer Mode’.

Rob has also been busy adding high quality Tabla sounds which are also going to be added to this new update of Punch-2.
If you would like to find out more about this cool new mode, and the tabla sounds please check out the next Live Stream from Rob Papen on YouTube Thursday 13th of February 8 pm - 9 pm C.E.T.!

About Punch-2:
Using a combination of drum synthesis/samples and the built-in pattern sequencer to trigger beats already made Punch a unique drum machine and loved by many upon its first release!.

Now, by adding even more drum synthesis models, and introducing a totally new main screen which allows you to quickly create new drum kits, Punch-2 continues its legacy to be a cutting edge drum machine... but with lots of extra added punch!

Things do not stop there though, the interface and the synthesis sound options have been expanded greatly! Punch-2 now allows you to import your own REX files and samples to turn into your own loops. You can map out REX files or sample slices to individual pads and combine these creatively with the sounds & pattern sequencer found inside Punch-2! Further editing of  REX files or Sliced pads is also possible, using filters, envelopes...routing into one of the 4 FX modules. And yes, you can even use granular synthesis on the REX and Slice pads!

Feature-wise there is almost too much to mention here! For instance, there is a full new ‘Master’ section with EQ, Compressor, Limiter, Stereo/mono split filter, and layout mixer.

Last but not least, Punch-2 also comes with a vast amount of included sounds, ready to groove into your music and productions!

QUAD

We regularly receive requests for Quad to be available in VST/AU/AAX plugin format and yes this will happen soon and this synthesizer will also be part of the eXplorer-6 bundle once released.
Of course, the overall look and size of this version of Quad will have differences which you may already have noticed if you compare Vecto VST with Vecto RE.

To help wet your appetite for Quad…....
  • Here are some videos about Quad (as RE): YouTube
  • And here some great demo songs, created by Reason Quad users: SoundCloud
The history behind Quad.
QUAD features two oscillators with a seemingly simple arsenal of classic waveforms. The sonic palette is huge though, through the vast modulation possibilities that QUAD has to offer. The oscillators can be combined through many cross-modulation functions – generating a wide range of harmonics. The next steps in the sound sculpting are the Phase Distortion and WaveShaper. These tools are brought to life by four XY-Pads, which can be moved through an extensive modulation matrix. The movements can be recorded as automation directly into Reason’s sequencer.
QUAD’s oscillators are complemented by two top-notch analog-modeled filters, an arpeggiator, and two high-quality effects processors.
