This email confirms your child(s) registration for the upcoming WINTER 2023 season which begins with first games on Jan 7th and runs through Feb 25th.
We are so excited to finally be back on the court this past year after being closed for almost 2 years!! If this is your first seaon back with us, please review all of the detailed info as some of our processes have changed slighlty. We want to thank you all for your patience and understanding . It has been such an honor to service our community. We have had the pleasure to see so many successful young student athletes participate in CYBL over the past 18 years. We want to thank everyone who has been involved with our organization for all of your support. We realize we couldn’t have done it without you.

CO-ED DIVISIONS:
ALL DIVISIONS ARE CO-ED. PLAYERS WILL BE PLACED ACCORDINGLY BY SKILL LEVEL FOR THE COMPETITIVE DIVISIONS.
NON-COMPETITIVE DIVISIONS:
We are excited to be offering the non-competitive division again this winter!! Includes Pre-k/Kind & 1st Grades. This division is co-ed & strictly instructional. Games are played on Saturdays. Coaches are on the court with the kids along with a CYBL referee. The non-comp division is allotted 1 hour. The first 15 minutes the players will practice and warm up with their team and play in a game the remaining 45 minutes. The non-competitive divisions may be combined to form a division depending on the amount of registrants.
MANDATORY SKILL EVALUATION INFO:
MANDATORY SKILL EVALUATION INFORMATION:
CYBL would like to make sure all teams are formed as equal and competitive as possible therefore ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for all players registered new or returning!! Specific team/player/coach requests may NOT be considered if player does not attend Skill Evaluations & policy will be strictly enforced.
**REQUESTS ARE NEVER GUARANTEED**
Please arrive early. DO NOT be late. Review the schedule carefully and make sure your player attends the scheduled date/time for their division. Player must check in any time between the listed check in time below to be evaluated. Late players may need to wait until the next scheduled time to be evaluated. Players who are unable to attend the mandatory evaluations should contact the CYBL office.

Commitment is one hour a week in the evening for practice and one hour on Saturdays for games. The amount of coaches needed is subject to change and is based on the amount of registrations and teams formed in each division.

CYBL'S SEASON & PRACTICE INFO:
CYBL'S 8 GAME SEASON:
The season will include 6 regular season games, along with (2) Playoff, Championship or Consolation Games. Please review the full game schedule once posted.
DOUBLE HEADERS: Double headers will be held throughout the season (where teams play up to two games on a Saturday). Please review the schedule once posted to confirm double headers for your team. Double headers may not be scheduled at the same location, traveling may be involved to a different gym for the double header game.
PRACTICE:
Team practices are a crucial part of your CYBL season. Practices will be one night a week in the evenings. They will be held at school gyms within your registered school district. Practice locations are NOT determined by where you reside or where your player goes to school. Please be prepared to travel within the local area/city for practices held one night a week. Day, time and location will depend on what the coach selects from the practice availability. Players will not be moved onto other teams due to practice schedule conflicts or issue with location or distance. NO REFUNDS will be given. *CYBL provides one night of practice per week. Coaches are welcome to practice more and may begin practice sooner than the week listed above if they wish. Outdoor practices are welcome. If you are unable to attend a scheduled practice, please notify your coach. Your players’ individual playing time may be affected if he/she does not attend practice. It is pertinent that you communicate with your coach if for any reason you are unable to attend. Please be sure to follow gym use etiquette. Utilization of indoor gym use is a privilege. Respecting school property will be strictly enforced. Misuse and or damage at school facilities resulting in gym cancellation, may result in game cancellation with a forfeit reflecting on your teams record. Games may not be replayed and no refunds will be given for cancelled games. Practices will be a set day and time. Time may vary anywhere from 6pm-9pm with last practices beginning as late as 8:10pm. (This applies to all grade levels pre-k through HS.) *Practices may be cancelled and/or rescheduled due to last minute school district cancellations. No refunds will be given for cancelled practices.
The exact day, time and location will be determined and you will be notified by your coach when contacted. Practices are not selected by location as to where your home or child’s school is based please prepare to travel within the area to practice.

If uniforms are not picked up during the scheduled pick up time & date, it is parents’ responsibility to make arrangements for pick up. Uniforms will no longer be sent to gym sites aside from pick up locations. Pick up location may be out of your local home area.

COVID & SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
- MASKS ARE OPTIONAL FOR PLAYERS AND COACHES DURING THE GAME AS OF THIS TIME.
- NO SPECATORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO SIT IN THE STANDS BEHIND THE TEAM BENCHES.
- HAND SANITIZERS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE SCORERS TABLE FOR ALL PLAYERS.
- GAME BALLS WILL BE SANITIZED BETWEEN EVERY GAME.
- IF GAMES ARE CANCELLED DUE TO NOT ENOUGH PLAYERS ON A TEAM DUE TO COVID, THE GAME WILL NOT BE REPLAYED.
- PLEASE UNDERSTAND PROTOCOLS MAY CHANGE THROUGHOUT THE SEASON.
GUIDE FOR PLAYERS:
What you should do:
- Monitor yourself, and your child for symptoms.
- If your player is not feeling well, please keep them home and do not attend practices or games.
- Test ASAP if you suspect you may have COVID-19 or you are showing any of the symptoms.
- If you have a positive test, please inform your Coach ASAP.
- Quarantine for 5 days from the onset of symptoms per CDC guidelines.

CODE OF CONDUCT:
Parents, players and spectators are expected to adhere to the following Code of Conduct. For questions, you may view the Code of Conduct on CYBL's main homepage.
DOCUMENTATION NEEDED:
**CYBL requires every player to provide a copy of their birth certificate and for players registering for 1st/2nd grade competitive through High School we will also require a copy of their latest report card. The report card should list the players name, current school year as well as confirmation of the player’s current grade level. ALL PLAYERS NEW AND RETURNING MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATES AND REPORT CARDS AS WE HAVE UPDATED OUR SYSTEMS AND HAVE NO DOCUMENTS ON FILE.
