For all Hampshire excluding the Isle of Wight.This CD has been produced as a finding aid only, and whilst it contains most of the detail of the original parish records there is always the possibility of a transcription error. Personal names have been transcribed "as is", with abbreviated forms expanded. Place names are as found on the pre 1974 maps of Hampshire.
The easiest way to find an entry within the Index is to use the search engine provided. This has a simple but powerful interface for locating a particular record.

The book's introduction states that this is a second revision of the original 1901 edition and a new feature is the addition of notes on the origins of street names given in recent years. The number of streets in the County of London at the time numbered 17,660.
