Quote
of the Week
“Forgiveness
is the economy of the heart... forgiveness
saves the expense of anger, the cost of
hatred, the waste of spirits.”
― Hannah More
President's
Corner
Hope you are all having a
wonderful summer so far. I
seem to have been receiving a
large number of unprofessional
emails lately and want to
reinforce the need for
professionalism in the note
industry.
Email etiquette is extremely
important in a world where most
of our communication happens on
the Internet. Etiquette may seem
obsolete, but the emails that
you send reflect on you as a
person, oftentimes because
that's practically the only
contact someone may have with
you. I personally am more likely
to look favorably on someone who
sends a polished and concise
email rather than someone who
sends a clumsily written one
even if in real life, the clumsy
writer is a harder worker.
Because you will send (and
receive) a lot of emails in the
note business, it is important
to cement common courtesies in
your mind before it comes back
to bite you. Unlike paper mail,
email lasts forever. Once you
hit send, that email no longer
belongs to you and instead
resides on a server. You have no
control over whether that email
is deleted or not. And, the
email that you send can be sent
to a number of people, who are
then all aware of your clumsy,
disrespectful email without
letting you know that they know.
This could be bad when an entire
department knows that you're
rude and feel entitled to the
world (at least keep it to
yourself). A lot of email
etiquette is common sense, but
it bears repeating. It's the
little things that count with an
email.
Have a safe and fun July 4th
holiday weekend! Remember,
Success
Demands Action! Keep on
marketing, it’s going to work!

Communication Secrets
In a service industry like note
brokering, you are the product.
The competition for the note
seller’s deal is seldom decided
by money; the choice is between
note brokers. If you are to
distinguish yourself from other
brokers, you must learn to
communicate with note sellers
(or professional referral
sources) in terms that are
meaningful to them...Read

Question of
the Week
Q
- Hi Jeff,
I own a property free and clear and is under contract and supposed to close
soon. However, the funding source I was planning on using did not pan out. I
would like to know if you have a funding opportunity that may work for me. This
property is a fix and flip. Is this something you can help with, is there
anything you can do?
~ Bruce
Hi Bruce!
Thanks for the email! Unfortunately we do not give loans. We only buy existing
seller financed notes. If you are going to sell your property what you might be
able to do is to carry back the note and structure the sale in such a way so
that you can sell the note after the sale. For more information go here:
http://www.armstrongcapital.com/TemporarySellerFinancingwDirectBuyout.htm
Once you have read through the
information let me know if you
have any questions then I can
make some suggestions to you
about your particular situation.
Hope this helps!
~ Jeff
