Already the middle of September—Summertime is over! We hope you're feeling good and getting ready to enjoy the beauty of the Autumn Leaves.
I still can't believe I reached 65 on July 31, and I’m so grateful for the wonderful memories of my life, traveling to so many places and sharing my music.
Some exciting news: I just heard that our performance in Qatar for the European Festival may be scheduled! But right now, I’m especially thrilled as we depart today for my 15th tour of India. That’s why my newsletter comes a little early this time—I wanted to make sure you’re up to date with all the latest!
We’re playing some amazing new festivals and venues I’ve never played before. Here's what’s coming up with the SASKIA LAROO BAND
- Sat, Sept. 21 | 8 PM (doors open at 7 PM): World Peace Day Special Concert at Shri Rangam Amphitheatre, Ahmedabad (3,000 seats) for Jazzabad Club
- We’ll bring funky, feel-good music and premiere my new composition, World In Peace .
- Tickets: ₹300 | Available on All Events
- Sunday, Sept. 22 |11 AM: Workshop – special jazz improvisation session. More info to follow.
After that, we head to some incredible international festivals, bringing original Jazz, Funk, and Hip-hop to the max:
- Wed, Sept. 25 & Thu, Sept. 26: Ziro Festival & Ziro Literary Festival – India’s largest eco-friendly outdoor festival.
- Fri, Sept. 27: Performing at a Dutch fashion event hosted by the Netherlands Embassy in Delhi.
- Sun, Sept. 29: Jazzweekender festival in Delhi – check out the hottest new jazz acts under a Banyan tree. Here our shoutout to them.
And, we're performing with my pure jazz quartet, JAZZKIA
- Thu, Oct. 3: IIC Delhi – performing at one of Delhi’s most prestigious concert halls for members and visitors.

- Dutch musician Saskia Laroo, sometimes called the “Lady Miles Davis,” is known for her virtuoso trumpet-playing and musical styling blending jazz, soul, blues, and electronic dance music. Saskia is that rare artist who is not only innovative but accessible.
- Pianist/Vocalist/Composer Warren Byrd is a Hartford, Connecticut native with an international touring schedule after years of work throughout Southern New England and New York. He is known for his exeptional piano and vocal skills and unique improvisation style.
