New wave never went away and is alive now more than ever. The dark sounds of this genre are appearing more and more in the better music of today. On May 13th, we are organizing our 4th memorable New Wave night at Nijdrop! We open the evening with Body Electric, the Sisters of Mercy tribute band, bringing you live the classics of the genre. Body Electric is not just a cover band, but a tribute that takes the atmosphere of early '80s gothic rock very seriously. By sticking to the classic lineup — including the indispensable Dr. Avalanche — they manage to perfectly capture the layered, mechanical intensity of Andrew Eldritch and company. Especially the fact that they perform songs like "Alice" and "Floorshow" shows that they dive deep into the discography for the true enthusiast. After that, Zebedeüs—does Joost even need an introduction?—targets your dancing hips all night long with the best new wave and alternative rock.
