To say Austin Dillon has struggled to start the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season would be an understatement. At Richmond, the Richard Childress Racing driver reached a boiling point and let it be known he was unhappy, criticizing the team's indecision over the team radio. His grandfather and team owner told him to focus.

Speaking of boiling points, Kevin Harvick talked about Martin Truex Jr. reaching his in that same Richmond race, including calling out the 2017 Cup champion for his behavior and treatment of team owner Joe Gibbs after the race on pit road.

Clint Bowyer appeared on NASCAR Race Hub and talked about the hot topic of the week – the late restart at Richmond and NASCAR's Senior VP of Competition Elton Sawyer's explanation of the sanctioning body's ruling.

Thursday 
NASCAR fans awake late Thursday night were shocked to be witness to a Twitter/X beef between Denny Hamlin and Speedway Motorsports CEO Marcus Smith that got personal, both taking cheap shots at the other.
 
Eventually, cooler heads prevailed and both admitted they should have behaved differently on Friday but by that point, the damage and embarrassment was already done. Click to read story
