Principal Notes
4/28/17

Lots of good news today!
Grease is running tonight and tomorrow at the Dogwood. The show opens at 7:30 but seats are going quickly. Later today, I'll be uploading a video to Facebook that shows a part of the flash mob the cast put on for the students yesterday at lunch.

Both Band and Orchestra traveled to the State Festivals yesterday.

Cameron Doran received the PakerHi5 today for putting the Grease flash mob together. Zach Harris also received a Hi5 for service to the school without being asked.

I received an enormous amount of people replying to a previous Principal Note on the subject of "How to talk to your teen about sex." As a result, we will be hosting a "Talk Early, Talk Often" conference on May 30. Dinner will be provided. Please mark your calendars. Many more details will be coming forward. This conference is for middle and high school parents. Students are asked not to attend.

We had a great senior meeting on Wednesday where gowns were handed out and expectations were given for the end of the year. I stressed that those lucky enough to have caring parents should be extremely patient with them as parents are also going through a major transition. I pointed out that parents aren't seeing their 18 year old graduate. They are seeing their baby graduate. They are seeing their toddler graduate. They are seeing the child who lost his or her first tooth graduate. It's a time of change for all people involved.

Yesterday we welcomed in Pathfinder students to perform their spring musical.

Pleaser consider voting next Tuesday.

Prom is May 6. It begins at 8:00 pm at the Frauenthal Center.
Band concert is May 8 at the Dogwood 7:00
Orchestra is May 17 at the Dogwood: 6:30
