We’re reducing child ticket prices for the summer!

Until Tuesday 1 September, film tickets for children under 12 are reduced to just £4.50. Tickets for those aged 12 – 17 are reduced to £5.30.

The price cuts are part of the UK Government’s Great British Summer Savings programme. The Government has slashed VAT on the costs of children’s restaurant meals, children’s tickets for theatres and cinemas and all tickets for attractions like soft play, amusement parks, and museums. As a result, the cinema is able to lower its prices and ultimately make summer days out more affordable for more families.

Glastonbury: The Movie, cert 15, 91 mins
Shot at the 1993 festival, the last of the great old-school Glastonburys, Glastonbury: The Movie captured the real thing: not the headline acts on the Pyramid Stage, but the stone circle at sunrise, the rave tents and wandering performers, the parachute games and the Krishna food queues. A cast of thousands, completely themselves. No voiceover. No talking heads. No presenter telling you how to feel. Just Glastonbury, as it was. Unfiltered, unnarrated, and unlike anything else in British music film.

Aida on Sydney Harbour, cert U, 156 mins
In Aida, Verdi masterfully pits the intimate affairs of the heart against the grandeur of the universe: where kingdoms rise and fall and the sands of time grind onwards. There could be no grander setting for such an opera than Sydney Harbour itself, awash with the light of the city and the Sydney Opera House silhouetted against the setting sun.
