And don't forget!
(For BIGGER images: just click on each individual pic)

What do you think of this spectacularly pieced Quattro by Diane Rhodes of Monroeville, PA? Doesn't our polka-dotted zipper look fabulous with this bag & I especially love that Diane took the time to piece the BACKside!!!

And since purple is one of my favorite colors, I really like this Uptown Saddlebag created by Nancy Watson! I don't know where Nancy found the coordinating webbing, but it's a perfect match!

And don't you just love the flap embellishment on this Wrapsody? Marcie Cooper of Yorkville, OH created it using "spinach-colored" denim to match a suit she made for her daughter.

And this sweet, feminine Boho Baguette was created by Marilyn Robertshaw of Erie, PA. The fabric she used is from the "Downton Abbey" women's collection from Andover fabrics and it looks spectacular on this bag. Marilyn said that she used a Kanzashi folding technique to create the flower embellishment!

And here's a VERY unique take on our Cosmo Convertible. Darlee Byron of Canada decided to omit the front pocket opting instead to use floral fabric on the outside panels, and to embellish the batik inner panels with fancy stitching! The final look is SO interesting, don't you think?

And if you like owls, then you'll love Shan Fawcett's Quattro. I imagine that she's the talk of Tasmania, Australia carrying this beauty, right? Here's a peek at the back.

Melissa Christenson actually used a woven baby wrap to create her Cosmo Convertible and achieved a soft, unique look in the process!

And what about this pop of paisley exterior that Teri Warner of Beaverton, OR chose for her Wrapsody. She said she was going for a retro-feel and this fabric "spoke" to her!
Teri said she loves carrying this bag and can FINALLY find something in her handbag!

And this Baggalista has a Parisienne touch! It was created by Ingrid Bennett of Spokane, WA. She said she had a "lot of fun making it" and is REALLY enjoying carrying it! Here's a look at the zippered main compartment.

This gorgeous Uptown Saddlebag was created by Christine Lashley of Schiocton, WI. Her applique on the front of this bag is just incredible and I love what it does for this bag! check out the back here.

This impressive Quattro was created by Pauline Kitchen of Norton, MA. Pauline use fabric from Laurel Burch's "Sea Spirits" collection and it seems to "work" perfectly with this bag! Pauline also used our black & white striped zippers and can you imagine ANY other zipper that would have "played" so well with this unique fabric?  :)

Here's Georgia Segura of Webster, TX, back again with another fun and cheerful Quattro. This fabric combination is great and this bag reminds me of Spring! Here's a look at the zippered main opening.

Blog with us!-  A Work in Progress
If you're new here, and you want to catch up or if you missed any of the posts from last month, don't worry, they're all listed below.

New from SKD- TWO new patterns!
So... it's ALMOST time to release a couple of new patterns, and since many of you don't follow my Blog, I thought it might be a good time to get you aquainted with them!  :)
First, our HipBag Hybrid, which our interpretation of the old classic "fanny pack" (at right), but with a VERY big difference, which is that it can ALSO be carried as a Shoulder/Cross Body bag. And that's not all! It can ALSO be clipped to many types of mobile devices such as a bike, stroller, scooter or walker for provide a totally handsfree lifestyle! It boasts THREE storage areas, including one that's hidden in the middle!

The 2nd pattern we'll be releasing this Spring is a credit card "wallet" (at left)! There'll be 2 sizes included, a small unit that hold 8 cards (front and back) and a larger unit that holds 12. And guess what! We've included the instructions you need to provide additional RFID-blocking protection for your cards within the lining! How cool is that?
I'd love to think I'll have both of these patterns ready to release for the next newsletter, but vending at the Road to California Showcase later this month may make that a bit unrealistic. I'll certainly be able to give you a pretty firm date by next month though, so stay tuned!  :)

Bobbin Around the Web- Southwind Designs

I saw the Southwind Designs booth at Quilt Market last Fall and was instantly attracted to these whimsical quilts... not exactly traditional, but not totally modern either. A few of my favorites were "Feeling Froggy" and "Carolina Dogwoods" and there's a few interesting and unusual table runners to choose from as well! I think you'll enjoy looking around this website and while you're there, be sure to check out Annette's FaceBook and Pinterest page.

New Word of the Month- "Jammified"
(adjective) :  wearing pajamas

According to this article, it's easy as pie to capture your cat by meerly drawing, placing or forming a circle on the floor. As matter of fact, it seems they are conducting Internet research on the subject and you can help. But here's the deal, I'm sure they weren't pleased with MY input, because my knucklehead proved to be the exception to the rule... Monthly Trivia-
Today is Saturday, the 10th day of 2015 and I hope the new year has gotten off to a fabulous start for you and yours! Unfortunately, I began my year with a yucky cold that I'm just now shaking. :(  It could have been worse... it could've been the flu!
And speaking of shaking... today happens to be the birthday of two HUGE names from the 80's rock 'n roll scene, Pat Benatar and Rod Stewart.

And if today just happens to be YOUR birthday too, then here's a great, big "Happy Birthday to YOU" from all of us at StudioKat Designs.  :)  And if today is not your birthday, might I suggest you consider celebrating the day anyway by checking out two POWERHOUSE videos from the 80's, featuring out birthday girl & boy! Click HERE to see my favorite Pat Benatar video and HERE to see Rod's best video. (Promise you won't laugh at the over-the-top hair and clothes!  :)

Well, that's it for now, so until next month, remember!
It's a GREAT day to be sewing!
We hope you found this newsletter to be informative. It's our way of keeping you posted on the happenings here. If, however, you'd prefer not to no longer receive these updates, please see the links below to manage your preferences.  Thanks for your support and best regards!
