RUTH’S FIRST HUSBAND LES IN NURSING HOME
A new room mate in the room.
He cannot speak well.
When I say good-bye to Les
I go to the man’s bed, lean over to say
Good-bye to him also.
THIS MAN GRABS ME
And gives me a big kiss
I was shocked!
I looked into his face.
No lust in his eyes
It was like he had kissed his wife good-bye.
NOW EVERY TIME I WOULD LEAVE
I would go over to his bed
Grab his hands, so he couldn’t grab me,
Lean over, kiss him on the forehead
And pat his cheek and say good-bye.
VIER WAS A GERMAN PRISONER OF WAR- WW2
One day I asked, Veir, “ What was your work in life?”
I thought “Why did I ask, he cannot speak?”
Then he said “Woodcutter.”
Ruth: “Did you have a saw mill?” Vire: “Yes”
Ruth: “Did you go to church on Sundays?” Vier: “No, too busy”
Ruth: “Do you know Jesus as your Savior?” Vier: “No”
Ruth: “Would you like to ask Jesus into your heart?”
Veir: Big loud “NO!!!”
I LEANED OVER, CARESSED HIS CHEEKS
Kissed his forehead, and said
“Jesus has loved you all these years
He is waiting in heaven for you
To show His love for you when you get there.”
DO YOU WANT TO ASK JESUS INTO YOUR HEART?”
Vier: a very soft answer, “Yes”
Ruth led him in a prayer.
God had opened his speech, so he could be saved.
Later again, not able to speak
A few weeks later, he passed away.
Vier had tattoos on his arm
He was a German Jew. now saved by grace.
SAME NURSING HOME
Our church people came 2 X a month
Sing hymns, and pray.
ONE DAY, PRAYER TIME
I came to a lady who was like a vegetable.
This time I noticed her eyes were following me
And not blank. I had almost passed her by.
I want to pray for you for salvation
I know today you understand what I say,
In your heart you repeat what I say.
I led her in a prayer for salvation.
NEXT TIME I SAW HER,
Eyes were again blank and unknowing
I felt, God had opened her mind enough
To receive Jesus into her life.
RUTH WITH THREE GRANDDAUGHTERS AT A SHOP
Ruth walks up to the clerk and her mouth opens,
“Do you know Jesus as your Savior?”
Young granddaughters were embarrassed
And scurried away like three little ants.
LADY SAID, “NO, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HIM”
As Ruth led her in a prayer, the granddaughters
Came out of hiding, and drew close to observe this miracle.
