Last Sunday's Charity Day event was fantastic! The biggest Harp crowd of the season saw the Bills squish the Fish and raise over $2000 for our charities. All told, we raised $400 for the West Harlem Action Network Against Poverty, and $1,600 for the Brian Moorman PUNT Foundation. Thank you!
Special thanks go out to Cindy for helping to sell the raffle tickets, and to Tony and Jim for helping to tear them. Thanks to Brian Moran for donating the leather jacket, Mike Farrell for donating signed copies of his book, and to the Buffalo Bills for providing the Lynch helmet and the Moorman memorabilia. If you didn't stick around for the auction, Moorman's game-worn shoe went for $180!
And, of course, thanks to everyone that donated to our food drive for the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry.
Pictures from Sunday will be posted to the website in the near future, so keep checking back.
Bills/Patriots* on Sunday -- As you probably know, the Bills game this week against New England was changed to 8:15 pm thanks to the the NFL's "flex" scheduling. The Harp will have the Bills game on, but unfortunately, there is a Bruce Springsteen concert at the Garden that night, and the Harp does a brisk pre-concert business. So while the game will be on, we won't be having a halftime buffet, and it's likely that there will be plenty of Patriots fans there too. Parking will also come at a ($$) premium that night. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
We'll be back to our normal mode of operation for the critical game against the Jaguars on November 25.
Finally, an order of small and medium T-shirts has been placed and we should have them for the Jaguars game on 11/25 and the Redskins game on 12/2.
Happy Thanksgiving, and safe travels... Go Bills!
