New for 2021 is The Great West Way Cycling Tour from Bristol to London and a great way to explore the history and countryside of England between these two great cities. Our carefully designed route is largely traffic free and with leisurely distances that allow plenty of time to enjoy the ride.
Discover Bristol from Brunel to Banksy - home of Concorde and the SS Great Britain, and now a vibrant centre for the arts and film. Cycle a disused railway track on to Bath beloved of the Romans and Jane Austen and still as elegant! Your route then leads you along canal and waterway to the heart of the countryside linking the Rivers Avon and Thames and built in the 18th Century to enable the easy transport of goods.
Today this is a serene stretch of water and a wildlife conservation area. Our route takes a short detour from The Great West Way via Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral before following the Thames through the beautiful Chiltern Hills with their magnificent red kites on the way to Windsor and the world's oldest inhabited castle. Continue on to Hampton Court Palace - scene of many a royal intrigue, and past Kew Gardens where your traffic free route takes you into the beating heart of London.
Take a look at England's Great West Way video and whether you want to cycle the whole way or just a small section of the route - we think you will work up an appetite and a thirst so here are some of our favourite stops along the way.
We are always happy to tailormake your trip so it's right for you. Just get in touch!
Happy dreaming,
