FRANCE  From 14 to 18 December, on International Migrants Day, more than 220 local, regional and national organisations are calling for mobilisation with the MARCHE DES SOLIDARITÉS and collectives of undocumented migrants, unaccompanied minors and women in struggle. In Paris, we will be demonstrating on Saturday 14 December and we are organising an international mobilisation meeting on Wednesday 18 December to prepare for the aftermath.

DECEMBER 18 - INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MIGRANTS

STATE RACISM PAVES THE WAY TO FASCISM :

WHEREVER YOU WERE BORN, SOLIDARITY!

Against state racism, we call for civil disobedience, resistance and struggle!

From the Darmanin law to the Retailleau bill, the levees have been breached. And now it's the RN (fascist Rassemblement National) that's taking the law into its own hands.

We call on all those who are frightened by the rise of racism and the prospect of the RN coming to power to demonstrate together around International Migrants' Day.

There are many of us. Far more than the racists, far more than the fascists.

Let's not be invisible. Let's not accept being atomized. Together we are strong. In the face of racism and inequality, let's affirm our humanity. Let's show that racism kills, divides and destroys, while equality and solidarity are desirable.

Every time a neighborhood rises up to prevent an eviction, to demand the regularization of a family, the housing and schooling of minors, the neighborhood becomes more beautiful, stronger, more united.

Every time a workplace or a place of study mobilizes to defend a colleague or a fellow student, we are stronger to fight, together, for our rights.

Immigration is not the problem. To make people believe that is to develop violence and inequality. It means singling out migrants, the children of migrants, Muslims and those designated as Muslims as “the enemy”. It advances the dehumanization of society as a whole. It hides the real causes, and distances us from the solutions: justice and equality.

We refuse to let dozens, hundreds, thousands of human beings die on the migration routes. We refuse to let minors, women and men, families sleep rough. We refuse to allow workers to remain at the mercy of rogue bosses. We reject the existence of detention centers and prisons for foreigners.

We reject the criminalization of immigrants, documented and undocumented. We reject the racism legitimized by the state, which opens the door to fascism and fascism itself!

From December 14 to 18, on the occasion of International Migrants' Day, let's join together, let's act as a class!

·       for equal rights for all and the regularization of undocumented migrants

·       for the closure of detention centers and freedom of movement

·       for housing for all homeless people, documented and undocumented, implementation of the requisition law and repeal of the Kasbarian-Bergé law

·       for access to healthcare and education for all

·       for the repeal of the Darmanin law, all racist laws, the European migration pact and the Dublin regulation

·       for international solidarity with all peoples fighting for justice, freedom, equality and an end to colonialism, from Palestine to the Sahel via Lebanon, from Kanaky to Martinique via Mayotte.

Let's organize everywhere. Let's turn every neighbourhood, every workplace and every place of study into solidarity zones! Let's stand together against racism, colonialism and fascism!
