Job 19:25-27 "I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!"
MY REDEEMER
In English classes, the pronouns and their possessive relatives seemed trivial. They were just little things to make life in English more miserable. How wrong I was! They are among the most precious words in language, and so much more when tied to our Lord Jesus, our God. This is especially so when we use them in the first person: me, mine, I.
I know MY Redeemer! What a comforting statement, for each individual who believes in Jesus. He is your personal Redeemer. You get all the attention, you get all the benefits of being able to draw from His wisdom and His experience without having to wait in line or go on hold. He is there to speak to you whenever you wish, and that is daily.
I know my Redeemer! In the book, "Great Expectations", the little boy, Pip, never knew his benefactor until the very end. He went through life wondering, guessing at who it was who had helped him through the years. I know my Redeemer! From little on there has been no guessing. From little on, my benefactor, my Savior, has not hid from me, but has revealed Himself to me daily. Nor will He hide from me when I need Him most, when He calls me home to Himself. I know Him through the Scriptures as Redeemer, and Savior -- most precious. He has paid my debt, freed me and given me life with Him. I know My Redeemer.
