Philippians 4:6 (ESV) ... do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

EQUAL TO THE TASK?

Who is sufficient for these things? When we consider the vital matter of Christian education of the young, and consider the consequence of failing in this matter, we may be overwhelmed. God has given me these children into the hands of sinful parents ... how could it possibly work out?

God's grace is sufficient for us. Let us begin each day with the LORD, seeking direction from His Word.

What else can we do?

We can pray -- and we should pray for the Christian schools in our fellowship. Let us pray that God work mightily in them through the Word to raise up for Himself godly pastors, teachers, and laypeople. We should pray for our children that they listen to God's Word and help them to apply that wisdom to their lives.

We can support our schools with time, talents, and gifts. If we treasure the faith we have been given, how can we not support and foster it in our youth?

We can set a good example by striving to live our faith. If we are to set a good example then we will need to regularly feed our faith with God's Word. How can we expect our children and grandchildren to take their faith seriously if we do not?

So may God bless every effort and increase the knowledge of the Lord Jesus among us. Amen!
