My own tip would be a figof8 "Listening" along the neck/body of the guitar and then another hypercarioid condenser or dynamic for vocals. It's so esasy and clever when you think about it. A figof8 rejects sounds coming from the singer.

Got this from behind the glass or confessions of a record producer whilst in london for a short break.Talk about getting struck by lightning! I've tried so many bad ways but this one is genious!
