The next meeting of the West Wales Grand Charity Appeals Committee will be held on Friday 14th November 2014 in The Masonic Hall, Spilman Street, Carmarthen, SA31 3LU, starting at 3.00pm. It is hoped that every Lodge Charity Steward, or their nominated representative will be able to attend. |

Storming Success for Teifi Lodge

It was 3am on Thursday 9th October 2014 and W Bro Huw Forster’s phone was ringing. There was a major storm that night and the phone call was from the Fire Brigade to let W Bro Huw know that the Lodge building in Cardigan had been struck by lightening. As the storm subsided it became clear that the building needed some structural repairs to make it safe and the Teifi Lodge Installation meeting, scheduled for later in the day, would have to be either cancelled or change venue. There are only 6 months to go until the culmination of the West Wales 2015 Festival in favour of the Grand Charity. The Grand Charity Festival Raffle will be held at the Festival Dinner on Friday 15th May 2015 (put the date in your diary now and watch out for details of how to get a ticket nearer the time). the Raffle is for a great cause and there are some excellent prizes, so buy your tickets from your Lodge Secretary as soon as you can. Why not help him by selling some tickets to your friends and family too??

The Richard Warburton Lodge was formed
principally for the furtherance of fraternal relations between those Brethren
who hold or have held office in secretarial roles, with a view of improving the
proficiency and knowledge of the Secretariat within the Province of West Wales.
This year's Secretariat meeting is on Friday 14th November at 6.30pm, in the
Masonic Hall, Carmarthen (please note the change of venue)!! All secretaries, scribes and their assistants are urged
to attend the meeting and everyone will receive a very warm welcome. There will be the opportunity for informal discussions as well as a
presentation by the Provincial Grand Secretary. There is a free buffet for all those have informed the secretary of the Richard Warburton Lodge (W Bro James Ross) of their intention to dine. W Bro James can be contacted by replying to this email, or emailing him at asec@wwmason.com.
