Wednesday 28 February

Next week we will welcome award winning wildlife photographer Kevin Pigney ARPS DPAGB ASINWP to the giant screen at Unit13, when he will be presenting his talk called "Passion for Wildlife".

Kevin will share lots of his favourite images, but more importantly he'll explain his approach and how he actually gets the images. Some behind the scenes on setting up a project and a chapter on different camera techniques .........

Kevin is a Norfolk lad so this meeting will be Zoomed into the clubrooms.
Here are a couple of examples of Kevin's work:

WCPF Members' Exhibition
Western Counties Photographic Federation 2024 Members' Exhibition

Closing date Saturday 2 March.

There is still time to enter the Members Exhibition. The Exhibition is open to photographers who are current members of any photographic club affiliated to the Western Counties Photographic Federation.

There are 3 Print Classes: Open Monochrome, Open Colour and Nature; and 3 Digital Classes: Open Monochrome, Open Colour and Nature. Please be sure to read the Class definitions so that images are entered into the appropriate Class(es), and also the notes on print entries. For both Nature Classes there is a checkbox to indicate that you wish your image to be considered as "Wildlife" (again the Wildlife definition is in the class definition). There is a Creative Checkbox to indicate that you wish to have your image considered for the "Best Creative" award (Print and Digital).

As before we're only accepting entries via our online entry website (the website has information about how to make your print entries). You can pay for your entry using PayPal, or by Debit or Credit Card. You can also send a personal cheque if you'd prefer not to pay online. Costs remain the same at £8 for one class, plus £3 for each additional class, ie £8, £11, £14, £17, £20, £23 for 1 - 6 classes.

You can access the exhibition website by clicking on the link below where you can view the entry terms and conditions, including class definitions.

There will also be a link to the entry system on the Exhibitions page of the WCPF website.

If you're quick, you can still put your print entry in the box provided on the stage at the front of the clubroom.

Trumpet Blowers' Corner
Salon acceptances: Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue.
