Happy New Year!
I spent the New Year in Berlin and now I am marvelous Buenos Aires having so much seeing my friends and dancing at many fantastic milongas. Any of my students in Buenos Aires who would like to take private lessons with me can contact me. I will be here until the end of the month.
ANAR DANA Berlin is my next big exciting project. In December we picked a great repertoire: Moroccan Sheikhat, Classical Arabic Sama'i in 10/8, Macedonian Čoček, Henna Evening Suite from Elazığ Turkey, and dances from Daghestan, Baluchistan and Turkmenistan. We have participants coming from different parts of Germany and other parts of Europe. The project starts the first weekend of February and we would love to have you join us! Join me and Sinan Erdemsel for our yearly Music, Dance and Cultural Tour to Istanbul March 27-April 5, 2013. The tour is filling up quickly. icludes: Baluchi, Arab-Andalusian, Armenian, Turkish Spoon Dances, Classical Persian, Moroccan Sheikhat and Kurdish from the esemble and Rajasthani, Georgian, Sahraoui and Ottoman dance performances by me.
