If it's May why am I still bloody freezing?
I'm waiting to hear if I can pick up our new van!
Ireland was fab, Pat Cannon played a blinder getting us into The Leeson Lounge in Dublin, his band supported us too - Dubliners, go and see Bad Boy Jake, they're excellent.
It was so good to be back at The Spirit Store in Dundalk, thanks Derek and everybody - the crowd were fantastic and we had a great night.
Then off to Limerick and upstairs at Dolan's great crowd, cheers Sean and we'll be back later in the year on the Irish Tour 74 tour!
Thanks a million to Ciara and James for their hospitality, we really couldn't afford to do this if it wasn't for the help we recieve from true Rory fans!
Liverpool and the Cavern - allways a great gig at this famous club http://youtu.be/z4qax5ysX1M - we were there on the same weekend as a 30 foot puppet show was playing out a story from the Titanic through the streets of the city - Liverpool is always so creative.
Amuse in Macclesfield was not like I told you, it wasn't a sit down dinner really, the crowd had a great time watching me and Paul and joining in with the Rory songs, then in the interval it was pie all round! Don't miss the next time!
In the Rory world blimey, the selling off of Rory's equipment has certainly ruffled some feathers and divided opinions. Lets hope the gear ends up with Rory fans and not some investment led collectors. I wish I had the sort of money to buy a Rory guitar - imagine that? But I'd be too scared to take it out on the road anyway so what would be the point?
Still - some dream eh?
Ballyshannon in a month, and great news Laundromat have got a gig on the main stage - I should think so too, we want that stage full of Rory bands.
Don't miss Danny, Joeke, Marten and Fred, they're great!
Anyway great to be heading over the channel next week back on the road in the new van (Well not new but you know what I mean)
See you soon!
Barry
