A reminder for all the procrastinators in the Minyan

The Diaspora Potluck Committee is excited to announce that the third annual Shabbat Dinners in Neighborhood Homes will take place on January 25, 2013. We received positive feedback from people who participated in last year’s dinners and know that many of you have been hoping that we’d organize this program again. Both Minyan regulars and newcomers can sign up as guests.
Twelve hosting individuals or families will open their homes to 6-10 guests each. This year, we’ll be assigning guests to hosts in a more or less random manner. If you enroll as a guest, your host will make contact about two weeks before the dinner — to communicate the start time and discuss what you can contribute to the meal.
When you sign up for the dinner, please indicate if you will be walking (and how far you’re willing to walk — we have homes in varying directions from TBA, so we should be able to place everyone within a convenient walking distance). Also be sure to indicate if you are vegetarian, have any food or animal allergies, and the ages of your children.
Guests will be enrolled on a first come, first served basis. So please sign up as soon as possible.
One of the benefits of The Shabbat Dinners in Neighborhood Homes is getting acquainted with people we see across the room, or even sit near to, but don’t really know. Both hosts and guests will have a chance to make new friends.
