Calling All Scotland Island Cyclists
The RTA is
prepared to provide steel, lockable, weatherproof bike lockers at
Church Point if we can:
1. Get Pittwater Council to allocate space for their installation
(probably 2 car spaces will fit 10 lockers).
2. Get 10 people to commit to hiring them. The cost is $50 per quarter.
Whist the cost is not cheap, having secure bike parking would enable
greater use of your bike because of the convenience of not having to
bring it back and forth on the ferry.
The locker also has space to leave your helmet and other bike items
such as shoes etc. The lockers are similar to those you may have seen
at many railway stations. They are wedge shaped so bikes go in rear end
first.
I currently have 3 people who have indicated that they would be
prepared to commit. If you are interested please call me on either 9997
7469 or 0419 432 626 or email me at jthixton@hotmail.com
