SILKY CHOREO'DITIONING

If you have wanted to make your aerial moves into a dance this class is for you! Half choreography and half conditioning this class will focus on strength, grace, fluidity, beauty and ease in the air and through the dance. Within the choreography you will explore new aerial moves and new transitions between well-loved moves, giving them new life. The first half of class will focus on an original piece of choreography, the second half of class we will focus on fun (ok and maybe a few torturous) conditioning exercises to add even more strength, grace and stamina. Breathing techniques, moving with intention, finding resting places in the choreography and maybe even a few releases to aid recovery between incense sessions will be included.
 
*Please be able to leg lock (hint: we will be using dancer’s lock), climb to the top of the fabric and invert with ease and stay in the air for at least 2-3 minutes. Grab your favorite ginger chew, gum (before class only) or tea - we will be spinning!

That same sexy style, but with added flair, deeper movement and a bit spicier than you're used to. You've already come out of your box, now let's venture out further together. This is perfect for anyone who has already had some experience releasing the sexy beast within, or for those who have taken a Joy of Sexy workshop before. Newcomers are always welcome!  If it's your first time, be prepared to leave feeling like a new woman.  

What to wear/bring: Shoes, extra pieces of clothes to take off (shirt, shorts, skirt, etc).

HEEL CLACK WITH TRANSITIONS

Click clack! Let it all out, girl! Heel clacking is an effective way to get your point across and to demand attention from your audience. Annemarie Davies is so well known for her heel clacks, Ru Paul himself wrote a song about it (“Click Clack, Make Dat Money”). There are countless ways to clack those shoes and in this workshop you will learn not just how to clack, but when. On your back with legs open to close, from an aerial shoulder mount, when circling your legs around and down, there are so many ways to clack and watch your audience react! Timing is everything, and so is click clacking those heels.

What to wear/bring: Stripper Shoes!

Brukwine is a Reggae/Dancehall based class created by Tavia and Tamara. It is a total body workout that provides students with new and exciting ways to move. Students will learn the hottest signature brukwine moves, how to isolate the hips and be feminine and sexy. Waist wining, booty shaking, sweat drenching, calorie burning, sexy, addictive are all words that describe this workout. This workout is done in heels, sneakers, or sneaker wedges. Whatever you feel sexy in goes, is our motto.

Liquid Motion® is a methodology that can apply to any aspect of life, from every day movement to technical dance vocabulary. This program teaches how to achieve a seamless and natural movement quality by applying basic dance theory and sensual movement exploration. Through self-confidence, knowledge of techniques and power of individuality, you will have the tools to further your education and exploration on your own. Liquid Motion aims to help our students grow on a daily basis, not just in a 90 minute workshop. In Liquid Two you will learn more advanced floor work and poles moves to help with your pole flow. You will also learn our theories and ideas that will teach you how to have confidence in your dancing. A pad and paper is highly recommended for this workshop. Our goal is for you to leave understanding how to continue your education and exploration of movement.

Five for Floor (54Floor) Liquid Motion® presents a set of five fundamental floor moves that are easy to learn, easy to execute, and will help ease your fear of the floor. These moves can be used as the foundation for any sequence of floor work. Five For Floor not only provides you the moves for basic floor work, but teaches you how to navigate the floor with grace and purpose. At Liquid Motion®, we like to think of Five For Floor as a springboard and inspiration for a world of ideas. Liquid One is recomended to take this workshop, as it builds upon the movement theories discussed in that workshop. Participants will draw on their experience from Liquid One, utilizing the understanding of their bodies and where the movement initiates from. Let Liquid Motion® and Five for Floor help you achieve what you what in your pole dancing.

Body & Pole has created an immersive weekly class that incorporates elements of gymnastics, dance and aerial hammock for students aged 8-15. Students will gain knowledge and awareness of their bodies on the ground and in the air while developing skills and tools that will last a lifetime. Join the fun!!
 
PARENTS!!! We are happy to also offer you a corresponding adult Conditioning for Aerial (bodyART) class every Saturday from 10:30 - 11:45 AM at 20% OFF! You will receive your class discount when you sign your kid's up for class.

A new challenge is here! We are really excited about this one, the Feel Good Naked Challenge just in time for Spring/Summer 2014!
 
Get your body ready to not just look good, but FEEL GOOD this Summer (and what can be better than concentrating on feeling GOOD!). This Challenge only requires you to take 3 Body & Pole classes a week with other Challengers to help keep you motivated and having fun!
 
Here are the weekly reqiurements:
- Take any 3 different classes you want per week for 4 weeks (Aerial or Flex or Pole or Conditioning)
- Take a photo/video per class or one weekly collage and post on your Facebook or Instagram profiles with the tag #BPfeelgoodnaked
 
Challenge weeks start on Mondays and end on Sundays (which the exception of the last week).

Hammock Fluidity is a great class to condition and work on your aerial "flow", no matter what apparatus you are on. If you love Pole'Ography and Lyra'Ography...this is the perfect class for you! Hammock Fluidity is now two times a week! Every Tuesday at 10:15 AM and Sundays at 12:45 PM.

ATLANTIC POLE CHAMPS!
CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to ALL the participants and medal winners at the Atlantic Pole Championships this weekend in D.C. We had so many competitors on that stage that gifted us with beautiful performances, and we had a great time celebrating the success of many! For the results and placements, check their website or Facebook page where scoresheets have been posted.
