NEWS FOR CAT LOVERS
===================================

It was a lot of work, and I'm not ready to relax yet,
but my new book is out! It's called Our Amazing
Cats, and you can see what's up at the website:
http://ouramazingcats.com.

The best part of writing this book was all the help
I had! It's a collection of short stories from some
of my readers, right here on this newsletter list...
plus a surprise "celebrity" author.

I asked, and I received! You might remember, this
summer I put out a call for authors, for anyone
to write about their cat(s), and I would make a
book of it. Well, many of you came through! And
we have created a book that many seem to be
enjoying already.

It should be available on Amazon.com by the time
you get this newsletter, but I don't have a link
yet. For now, what you can do is go to my site,
ouramazingcats.com, and see what the latest news
is on how to buy a copy. [Only 7.97!]

‘Oskar’s First Toys’ wins Friskies’ best cat video award:

-----------------------------------

Have you heard of that toy called a Babble Ball?
I got one for my dogs. But they wouldn't pay any
attention to it. So I tried to "give" it to the
cats. They pay attention to it as it rolls by,
but they don't chase it. Occasionally one of them
bumps it as they walk through the room and it
"babbles" at them. At first, they would look at
it quizically, then walk on. Now they just walk on.

So did I waste my money? Nah.... I'm having a ball
with the Babble Ball. I kick it around and laugh
at the noises it makes! The animals used to look
at me like I was crazy, but now they ignore that,
too. I really am the "crazy cat lady," eh?

Help Feed Shelter Animals

Don't forget to visit these sites as often as you can and
click on the shelter-feed links. There is no cost to you
to do this, but it can only be done once per day.

Thanks to Judy for sending in this delightful picture story!
You may have to allow plenty of time for all the photos
to load...It is literally a story told in pictures. No
words. Very endearing and worth the wait for the pics
to load.

TAKE ACTION TO HELP ANIMALS IN NEED
===================================
How to help animals:

Always remember to check with your local shelter
to see what they need. Your donation will go directly
to the animals, in sharp contrast to some of the large
national groups, whose donation income goes toward
large administrative salaries and other expenses, not
necessarily for animals. That said, there is one large
sanctuary I do endorse: http://www.deltarescue.org.
