Announcements...

Congratulations to our Father’s Day contest winner. Our contest committee has chosen one deserving dad to receive three hours of free organizing services from Forte Organizers. This father works at his job from 8:30 am-8:30 pm Monday thru Friday to provide for his family, leaving little time for organizing. He also raised his daughter as a single dad for many years before meeting his current wife who nominated him. Dad is looking forward to spending some time with Forte, organizing the spaces he never has time for.

Lori is now a guest columnist with the Dayton Daily News for their From The Expert column. To learn more about the importance of having a labeler for organizing projects visit her May, 16 article. If you need some tips on how to get those in your household more organized visit her June 2 article. Watch the newspaper for more columns.

Fox 45 morning news. Watch Lori in this segment on how to organize your paperwork/mail. Explaining how to process paperwork in less than 3 minutes is not easy!

All caregivers appreciate a break...

If you are caring for someone in your home, it’s important to label everything. By labeling everything used to care for the person, others can easily give you a break. Clearly label medications and medical supplies so the temporary caregiver can find what they need. Also, leave a list of medications and when they are taken; contact information for the medical team; and a calendar listing upcoming appointments and events.

You deserve a break and others will be able to help if you take time now to organize and label all the items used to provide care. Make it easy for others to help you.

Meeting notes disappear before hitting your desk...

Often, when you attend a meeting or seminar, you are handed papers because everyone in the meeting receives them. Most of these papers are not needed once you’ve left the meeting, yet they are brought back to your desk. Next time you’re sitting in a meeting and papers get passed out, make two piles; 1.) take back to your office and 2.) toss in the shred/recycle bin. Tossing these unnecessary sheets will help reduce paper piles stacked around your office.

Events...

Free Shred Day. Gather your paperwork now so you’ll be ready to participate in Centerville/Washington Twp’s free Shred Day. Residents can securely discard their sensitive documents on Saturday, July 21 from 10 am-1 pm at the Public Works Garage located at 8190 McEwen Rd. For details call 937-433-0151.

Free organizing seminar for your company…

Lori will come speak to your group for free in exchange for having the seminar taped using your company’s video equipment. The resulting DVD to be used in Forte’s marketing. We are updating our training videos for the website and need fresh content. Please contact lori@forteorganizers.com or 937-619-3181 to see if your event qualifies for this free session.

To fathers everywhere. Happy Father’s Day. Enjoy the day, you deserve it.
