Update as of 4.00pm Submarine cable at Bells is damaged. Four Generators will be brought onto the island first light tomorrow morning. At this stage it is thought power should be back on around 1pm tomorrow afternoon. Repairs to the submarine cable could take a couple of days at least. "..................Ausgrid Hi all, sorry for the issues with the cable. We'll be bringing across four generators to connect to each of the small substations on the island. Getting them into spot and safely connecting them will take much of the day tomorrow. These generators will supply power while the damage to the cable is assessed and repairs made."
