PRESS STATEMENT: Find attached complete court order compelling Woolworths to meet with BDS South Africa

BDS South Africa, is making available the complete court order that was granted earlier today compelling Woolworths to meet with BDS South Africa on or before the 10th of December. Find the court order attached.

 

Woolworths is falsely claiming that the demand to meet with BDS South Africa was not part of today’s court order. In a misleading press statement Woolworths says "separately, the BDS and Woolworths have agreed to meet on or by 10 December. This is not a part of the court order.” This is false as is evident in the court order attached to this press statement. Paragraph 1 clearly reads: "By agreement between the parties it is ordered that...the parties' representatives shall meet face-to-face on or before 10 December 2014, in an attempt to settle the entire matter".

 

Either Woolworths has been misled by its legal counsel or are trying to mislead the public. If the latter then its corporate ethics are in serious question.
